ABOUT THE COMPANY
One of Our Amazing Partners is a full service marketing and creative agency in Orange County, California, built around branding, website design and development, and social media content creation. Videography, photography, graphic design, and message development are all produced in house. The client roster runs from global brands and celebrities to growing local businesses, with a heavy concentration in professional services such as financial and legal firms alongside consumer brands. Design sits at the center of almost everything the studio makes, and the team is small enough that the designer's point of view shapes the work.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
A multidisciplinary designer who can carry a brand from identity through execution, and who is ready to lead creative rather than only produce it. You have a strong eye for branding, typography, layout, and visual storytelling, you are fluent in the Adobe suite, and you can look at someone else's graphic or reel and say exactly what would make it better. No two days look the same here: brand identity one day, website and campaign graphics the next, headshot retouching after that, then creative direction for the social team.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
- Develop brand identities including logos, color palettes, typography, and supporting brand elements, and build out the guidelines that keep them consistent
- Design creative for websites, social media, digital ads, presentations, sales decks, and print collateral such as business cards and letterhead
- Lead creative direction on social media accounts, concepting the ideas and handing clear direction to the team members who implement them
- Review and mark up the team's Canva graphics and short form edits, giving specific feedback on color, type, hierarchy, and finish rather than general notes
- Retouch and color correct headshots and client photography in Photoshop so people look their best while still looking like themselves
- Translate loose or vague client direction into polished, strategic visual concepts
- Move between very different client aesthetics without making every brand look the same
- Collaborate with the creative director, account managers, web team, and content team, and join client facing conversations to present and defend creative decisions
- Manage several client projects at once and keep them organized and on deadline
YOU'LL SUCCEED IF YOU HAVE
- Three to five or more years of professional graphic design experience, ideally inside an agency or another multi brand environment
- A portfolio that shows complete brand identities, not only individual graphics, alongside layout and digital design work
- High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, plus Figma
- Real photo editing and retouching craft, including color correction, and the judgment to know the difference between retouching and blurring a problem away
- Motion and short form video editing ability, with an understanding of pacing, hooks, and transitions
- The ability to give creative feedback that makes other people's work better, and to receive direction the same way
- A command of typography, hierarchy, composition, color, and branding fundamentals, and the ability to explain the thinking behind every choice
- Fluent professional English, written and verbal, and the confidence to sit in front of a client
- The judgment to use AI as a support tool that sharpens your own work, never as the source of the design itself
NICE TO HAVE
- Production experience, including planning shot lists and creative concepts for client shoots, or running a shoot on set
- Web design experience in Figma taken through to build with a developer
- Experience designing for both professional services brands and consumer brands
- A degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or Visual Communications, though the portfolio matters more
WHY JOIN THIS TEAM
This is a boutique studio where the creative is made in house, not outsourced, and where the designer is the one setting the visual bar for everyone else. You get real range across branding, web, and social, a founder with clear taste who will tell you what she thinks, and ownership of creative direction rather than a queue of tickets. Remote team members are treated as part of the studio and join the daily morning huddle.
