ABOUT THE COMPANY
One of Our Amazing Partners is on a mission to humanize the relationship between people and the companies they do business with. Headquartered in San Francisco and founded in 2022, the team is building an app-based product that brings real human connection back to commerce. They are not a software company, but their first product is app-based, and they are a few months from launching it into the world. The team is small, the talent is deep, and the leadership comes from decades of building award-winning creative agencies and global brands.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
One of Our Amazing Partners is looking for a sharp, experienced Project Manager to become the operational right hand to their Chief Brand Officer. This is not a "sit in meetings and update a spreadsheet" kind of role. You will own the operating rhythm across product, design, engineering, and leadership. Your job is to keep the scaffolding standing while the team builds on the rails: managing timelines, tracking workstreams, clarifying priorities, surfacing blockers (before they become fires), and making sure the right people are focused on the right things at the right time. If you bring structure without process theater, this is your role.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
- Own and manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables across product development, marketing, creative, and general business workstreams
- Run the day-to-day operating rhythm: standups, status updates, priority alignment, and sprint planning inside Linear
- Identify blockers early, escalate with context, and drive resolution across teams (no fire drills, no surprises)
- Prepare and distribute routine updates so leadership always has a clear, current view of where things stand
- Coordinate cross-functional dependencies between product, design, and engineering as the team pushes toward first launch
- Support the Chief Brand Officer by taking ownership of project management across all active workstreams
- Manage creative and marketing project execution alongside product delivery, keeping everything moving without anything slipping through the cracks
- Build and refine lightweight processes that actually help the team move, not slow them down
- Track workstream progress, flag risks early, and keep the team focused and accountable
- Help prepare the operational foundation for scale as the company transitions from pre-launch to live product
YOU'LL SUCCEED IF YOU HAVE
- 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in a startup or agency environment
- Direct experience managing app, software, or digital product development (you do not need to be an engineer, but you need to understand how product teams work and how launches come together)
- Strong proficiency with Linear as a project management tool
- The ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously across product, marketing, creative, and operations without losing the thread
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with a knack for translating complexity into clarity
- A bias toward action: you solve problems, you do not just document them
- Experience working directly with senior creative or executive leadership
- A genuine distaste for unnecessary process, meetings that should have been messages, and overhead that does not serve the work
NICE TO HAVE
- Background in creative, marketing, or agency environments
- Experience supporting a pre-launch or early-stage product through its first go-to-market cycle
- Familiarity with design and engineering workflows (you do not need to be technical, but you need to understand how these teams operate)
- Experience with tools like Figma, Slack, Notion, or similar collaboration platforms
- Comfort operating in lean teams where ownership is high and hand-holding is low
WHY JOIN THIS TEAM
This is a rare opportunity to step into a startup right before its first product launch, working alongside seasoned creative and product leaders who have built award-winning agencies, launched global brands, and are now channeling all of that experience into something they believe can change the world. The team is small, the work is meaningful, and the culture runs on craft, humor, and a strict no-nonsense policy when it comes to how work gets done.
