About Spartan Marketing

Spartan Marketing is a growing B2B digital marketing agency based in Greensboro, North Carolina. We partner with manufacturers, industrial businesses, and local service companies to drive measurable business growth through strategic marketing.

Following a recent acquisition that significantly expanded our client base, we’re bringing paid media management in-house for the first time. This role will own that function from day one, helping shape how paid media is delivered as we continue to grow.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a hands-on Paid Media Specialist who enjoys owning accounts from strategy through execution. You’ll thrive here if you’re naturally curious, proactive, and always looking for ways to improve performance rather than simply maintain campaigns.

This is an opportunity to become the paid media expert on a small, experienced team where your recommendations are valued, your work has direct client impact, and you’ll help build the agency’s paid advertising practice as it scales.

In This Role, You Will

  • Manage 8–12 client advertising accounts across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
  • Take ownership of an existing portfolio of Google Ads accounts currently managed by an outside vendor.
  • Build campaigns from the ground up, including account structure, keyword and audience research, ad copy, extensions, and conversion tracking.
  • Manage Search, Performance Max, Local Services Ads (LSA), Display, Remarketing, and paid social lead generation campaigns.
  • Perform weekly optimizations including budget pacing, bid strategies, search term reviews, placement analysis, audience refinement, negative keyword management, and A/B testing.
  • Set up, audit, and troubleshoot conversion tracking using GA4, Google Tag Manager, and CallTrackingMetrics.
  • Diagnose attribution issues and proactively resolve tracking problems before they impact reporting.
  • Optimize for lead quality—not simply lead volume—using qualified calls and form submissions to improve Smart Bidding performance.
  • Prepare monthly client performance reports that clearly explain results, insights, and next steps.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to identify budget, landing page, messaging, or offer issues before they become client concerns.
  • Join occasional client meetings to review campaign performance and answer paid media questions.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on Google Ads management experience, preferably in an agency environment managing multiple client accounts.
  • Strong experience with GA4 and Google Tag Manager, including building conversion tracking from scratch.
  • Experience using call tracking platforms such as CallTrackingMetrics or CallRail.
  • Lead generation experience serving B2B companies and/or service-based businesses.
  • Strong understanding of qualified lead metrics, cost per qualified lead, and campaign optimization beyond ROAS.
  • Excellent written and spoken English with confidence presenting to U.S.-based clients.
  • Availability during U.S. Eastern business hours.
  • A proactive, strategic mindset with a desire to continuously improve campaign performance rather than simply maintain accounts.

Nice to Have

  • Meta Ads experience focused on lead generation.
  • Working knowledge of LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
  • Google Ads and/or Meta Blueprint certifications.
  • Experience with Google Local Services Ads (LSA).
  • Experience working with industrial, manufacturing, or home service businesses.
  • Landing page optimization experience and familiarity with Unbounce or Webflow.
  • Experience building dashboards in Looker Studio.

  • Google Ads
  • Meta Business Suite
  • LinkedIn Campaign Manager
  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
  • Google Tag Manager (GTM)

Your First 90 Days

First 30 Days

  • Establish a consistent optimization cadence across all client accounts.
  • Deliver your first round of monthly client reports.

  • Begin proactively recommending campaign, landing page, and budget improvements.

Why Join Spartan Marketing?

This is more than an account management role—it’s an opportunity to build and own an entire service line.

You’ll be joining a senior, highly organized team that values initiative, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We believe in giving specialists ownership, listening to their recommendations, and moving quickly when good ideas emerge.

The position begins as a half-time role aligned with our current client portfolio, with a clear path to full-time as our paid media business continues to grow. If you’re excited about helping shape the future of an agency while delivering meaningful results for clients, we’d love to meet you.
